Personality:
Andrea is hard to define. However, one thing is certain about her and that's that she's headstrong and determined and will not let anything or anyone weigh her down or hold her back, and she will not take sass from anyone. She's the boss who's a friend more than a boss and only takes charge when she knows things will fall apart if she doesn't. It's how she keeps the Auror department running smoothly. It's quite different from how Mark Winslow ran things, but she finds that it works and won't deviate from her course of actions unless absolutely necessary. She's sure of herself in a lot of ways and doesn't let other's statements or comments sway her or bother her. She'd never get anything done if she did. She values other's input, and that's just how it's going to stay.Height: 5'7"
Andy is serious when necessary, but she isn't afraid to joke around and show her more childish side. She knows when to stop, however, and that's what she thinks one needs. Cutting loose is good so long as the person she's with can handle the type of humor used. Sure, she's been guilty of offending her fair share with her humor, but that's just how it goes sometimes. She can't be perfect ever. It's just not in human nature, and she knows it, so she doesn't pretend to be flawless. She lives up to her mistakes willingly on most occasions.
She values both sides of her heritage, both muggle and wizarding alike, but she prefers the muggle side of things. She lives in a very muggle area of London and does things manually rather than with magic. She finds it more fulfilling and enjoyable and gains more of a sense of accomplishment from it. She enjoys even the cheesiest muggle romance comedies and pretty much any action flick. "Chick flicks" annoy her as do any films that display women as weak and unable to handle themselves. She's a bit of a feminist in that regard and believes women are as powerful as they let themselves be and silently wishes most would ignore the pull of the media towards them being silent and submissive, virginal yet experienced, etc. It's just downright ridiculous, she feels. A woman should be whoever she damn well is regardless if others (particularly men) like it or not.
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
General Appearance:
Andrea stands around average height at 5'7". Nothing impressive about her figure, but it is fit and kept in good shape. Her brown hair is usually kept just below shoulder length but it's rare that one can acknowledge that, as she usually pulls it back into a bun to keep it out of her face at work. Her eyebrows are defined and well groomed, kept neither too thick nor too thin. They're just right for her face. Her blue eyes stand out most when she wears a blue similar to them, but she tends not to, so whether or not anyone notices them is beyond her. She'll wear some light eyeshadow and mascara to try to draw them out but that's about it. Her nose doesn't look ugly, but it's certainly not small and dainty like she sometimes wishes it was. She has the Landy family nose (mother's side), as it's put. Trademark, so to speak, so she doesn't feel too bad about it. Her lips are fairly full but not overbearingly so. They usually are made to stand out by a light reddish-colored lipstick.Wand: 12" oak, phoenix tail feather, swishy
Her clothing style varies. Being muggle-born, she's up on the latest trends and doesn't stand out in muggle areas like most of her fellow witches and wizards would. She doesn't dress to fit in with the crowd, however. She dresses in whatever's most comfortable, usually a simple T-shirt and some jeans or capris. She doesn't care what other people think of how she looks, and she figures it's becoming enough on her even if her mother often prods her to try to be a little more daring, and she does...at least, she did, when she was with Josh. Now? It's questionable as to whether or not she'll ever get dressed up again. She doesn't care to. No one to impress anymore. In the wizarding world and at work, she wears long, black robes over her clothing to fit in with the crowd since it's expected of her and anything else would draw her unwanted attention, accepting whatever punishment and chastisement are dealt her.

History:
There's nothing impressive about Andy's past. She grew up an only child, daughter of Matthew and Laura (Landy) Johnson. Both were muggles, and both certainly didn't expect what came to them in the body of a baby girl the early morning hours of March 19, 1972. Everything was perfect at first for the first few years. Nothing was out of the ordinary. She was simply just another little girl in the world where such a sight wasn't exactly uncommon. Around the age of eight, however, weird things began to occur around her whenever she was extremely angry, highly scared, or uncontrollably sad. Lights would flicker or the glass in portraits would break. Sometimes the lights would go out completely. Other times a window would break or the television.Role-play Sample: See Trevor. =p
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were, understandably, concerned, but what could they do? They'd never heard of anything like this ever happening to others, so they felt helpless, as though they couldn't reach out to anyone, even professionals. They'd probably lock their daughter up and throw away the key, and they loved her too much to allow that to happen to her. So they pretended like nothing was wrong. Didn't need to make her feel like she was abnormal, after all. She continued to attend primary school with the other little girls and boys until that fateful summer day during her eleventh year. It explained so much, really it did, but Mr. and Mrs. Johnson felt as thought it was just some big joke. However, to please their young, highly excited daughter, they went in search of this Diagon Alley where all these school supplies were supposed to be found. It was difficult to do, but they found it, and with it opened up a whole new world to their knowledge, one that was a little unnerving and scary yet at the same time exciting to the eleven-year-old girl.
Come time for school to start, Andrea's parents drove her to the train station in London, looking futilely for Platform 9 and 3/4, which got them strange looks from the workers and people they asked. It wasn't until Matthew caught a glimpse of something that made him take a double look that they found out why they hadn't found it. It was hidden. Figured. Foolish them. So, they saw their daughter off. Andy was nervous but she didn't let it show. She was far too old to be nervous over something so silly as this. It was just a train and she was only leaving her parents for a few months, not the rest of her life. She'd be fine. She could write them until Christmas break (They would have break for the holiday, wouldn't they? she thought anxiously.) and then they would welcome her back and they would have a good time until she returned to the school. Simple.
She quickly made a few friends with other nervous first years on the train, none of which were who she ended up hanging out with throughout the year. At the sorting ceremony, she found herself seated on the stool just like the dozen or so before her with McGonagall placing the Sorting Hat upon her small head. "Hufflepuff!" the Hat had declared, and Andy had gone to the table of older, cheering students, sitting beside another first year who looked rather out of place. She didn't really watch the rest of the ceremony. She clapped when everyone else did, sure, but she could care less. She was too busy chatting with Jessica Rosalind, who quickly became her best friend throughout all her years at the school.
Despite the fact that there never was a stable Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, the subject soon became her favorite and therefore her best. She studied hard for it, practicing things learned inside those four walls in the dueling club when she was old enough to join. She worked hard on other subjects, too, but not nearly as hard as for Defense. It was the love of Defense class that lead to her choice of the occupation of an Auror when the time came to choose in her fifth year after her OWLs. Those last couple of years certainly seemed to be her favorite and best both academically and personally.
It was during her sixth year that she set eyes on heart throb Josh Hemmingway, someone all the other Hufflepuff girls seemed to have noticed, too, not to mention a few Gryffindors and Ravenclaws as well as a few Slytherins (not that they ever would admit it, but she caught them staring), much to her dismay. However, towards the end of her sixth year, when Josh broke up with his girlfriend Henrietta Bolger, Andrea made her move, doing everything within the realms of subtlety to make herself noticed, and it worked. He always claimed it was her great personality that had first attracted him to her, but she never was completely convinced of it. After all, he was a Quidditch player, chaser, on the Hufflepuff team, and in her year, the players seemed to be rather interested in other things besides a girl's personality. Didn't seem to bother her.
They became fast friends and soon were dating seriously. This continued through their seventh year and beyond. He was supportive of her during her three years of Auror training that followed their graduation as he went on to his career in the Department of Mysteries, and after she finished her training and became a fully certified Auror, Josh proposed to her. It was just as she'd always imagined it to be: beautiful, sincere, and utterly romantic. It was everything she'd ever wanted. He was everything she'd ever wanted: sweet, caring, loving, faithful, devoted, and so much more. She completely trusted him with both her heart and her life.
However, her dream wedding never came. But, life went on, and she stood by him, even moved in with him after they'd been dating five years, much to her father's dismay. He'd thought he'd raised her better than that, but apparently not. Her career progressed, quickly climbing the ranks and building her reputation and career, doing whatever Mark Winslow had in store for her on a given day. When he was killed eight years ago while on the field with his youngest son Casey, it wasn't any of his many children who had also worked in the department that was placed in charge but her. However, she never let that get to her head, and to this day she still jokes around and works with her fellow workers as equals even if she comes down hard when needed.
The night of the attack on the Ministry, she had stayed late to supervise the night shift, which had been getting some pretty questionable reports. However, oddly enough, the Minister of Magic had them all sent away doing various things that all seemed to have rhyme and reason to them. It wasn't until perhaps an hour into the battle that they had all returned to find their beloved Ministry under siege. Those who were there quickly leaped into action, and Andy sent out her Patronus to try to get others to come in. They needed all the help they could get. The Ministry was hit hard, many of her friends and companions killed. Luckily, she wasn't among the body count that night. It was a shock to find out the school had been attacked as well. She, like so many others, turned to the Minister for guidance, believing his explanation when it came to who attacked them. After all, Death Eaters? No way. Voldemort was finally gone, dead. He wouldn't return again, and those Death Eaters who were still alive were in prison for the most part, as the Minister stated in his statement given the Monday after the attacks.
However, that evening was the evening the love of her life left her. Apparently Josh couldn't handle the seriousness of what had happened and the worry that had accompanied it after the fact when he'd found out what had happened that night when she'd come home to him and told him while in shock. However, she's putting on a tough face and keeping up the good fight. These creeps have to be brought down before any more harm is brought to the wizarding world.
