Name: Chase Downing
Age & Birthday: 29: January 14th 1979
Bloodline: Half-Blood
Personality: Chase was and is devoutly loyal to Lord Voldemort to the point of fanaticism. He would have done absolutely anything for his master willingly and without question. His servitude to Voldemort had not been about cowardliness or lust for power but a true service to him and all that he stood for. He is completely cold and merciless, devoid of almost any emotions. What he cannot tolerate is insolence or disrespect and his wrath is quick and severe.
Height: 6'2"
Hair: Brown
Eyes: A cold, piercing blue-grey
General Appearance: Chase is decently tall and well built. His demeanor is cold and his glare colder still. The first thing one is drawn to upon his appearance are his eyes, which some have said are cold enough to freeze water. He has a slightly tattered look about him, as appearances matter little to him and due to the fact that he is hiding from the public eye. Being in his presence often creates a tense silence that can be intimidating to some. As of late, he has become travel-worn and wary which only adds onto his already frayed appearance.

History: Chase Downing is a half-blood, born to a muggle father and a pure-blood witch. His father was abusive and controlling, his mother submissive and weak. His father maintained a strict code around the house and frequently beat both Chase and his mother. Only when his letter for Hogwarts arrived did he find out anything about the wizarding world at all; his mother had kept the fact that she was a witch from his father, probably out of fear of what he would do to her if he found out she had that kind of power. For once in her life she stood up for her son and begged and pleaded for Chase to be sent Hogwarts, even though she kept its true purpose hidden from her husband. She assured him the school instilled obedience and respect – the very qualities he desired in his son. After giving her one of the worst floggings of her life for daring to speak up to him, he conceded to this school she suggested and allowed him to go. So his mother somehow managed to gather all that he would need, and Chase was able to finally fulfill his true purpose within the power that is magic. Unfortunately, the emotional damage had already been done.
Chase was an empty shell of a person. Quiet, secluded, cold, and spiteful, he spoke only when spoken to, and made no friends. He was sorted into Slytherin, did well in most classes, and little else could be said of his time at the school. It was uneventful except for the glamour of that Potter boy in the year below him. Chase despised him and all that he stood for; he showed no respect for anyone or anything and walked around with his pride sticking a mile out. That being said, he didn’t care for much anyone else – the people with him and many against him as well. He wasn’t sure what first attracted him to the Dark Lord; perhaps a want for belonging and serving, a desire for a sense of purpose in life. The instant he was out of school, he sought out and served Voldemort for an entire year during his second rising. There was, however, one final snag before Chase could feel that he could entirely devote all of his obligations to Voldemort; a loose end to tie up, so to speak.
He remembers that night better than any other. The air was crisp; a storm had begun to brew. Chase had not returned to his home since he graduated from Hogwarts and this night would be the last. He blew open the door from his home, searching out his father. He blasted him straight through a wall the second he found him; his father then trembled in fear, cowering in his own blood. Chase had never felt so livid or alive. It was then that his mother rushed forward and grabbed his arm, begging him to stop. He was disgusted with her and the fact that she would sink to defend this piece of filth after all he had done to them. He quickly killed her then proceeded onto his father. By the time his father had been obliterated and the house came crashing down behind Chase, the storm had peaked with lightning and a heavy downpour. Chase left the scene with the same stone cold face he entered it, but had never felt more satisfied in his life as the rain poured down upon him.
After that Chase devoutly served Voldemort, becoming one of his most loyal servants. Unfortunately after a year, Voldemort fell to that damned Potter boy once more and Chase was forced to retreat to the shadows and try to find his master from there. He was caught in the process though, convicted of his many murders and crimes for his Lord, and sentenced to Azkaban, Dementor’s kiss impending. The wait for this punishment was long however, and he found himself in Azkaban for three years. The dementors had little effect on him though – he was already emotionless as it was and they had little to feed on. It was after those three years that Voldemort was revived once more, and he saw to it that his loyal followers were freed. Chase might have been jealous of Malfoy who had revived Voldemort, if he ever deigned to such petty emotions. No, now he could bask in his masters glory once more and all would tremble before him. Alas, yet once more he was defeated, but this time Chase got away.
For eight years Chase has been searching and learning of his Master. Voldemort never told anyone of his secrets which made it harder for Chase to think of ways to revive him. He learned everything of the Horcruxes, but all in vain as that damned Potter had seen to it that they were destroyed. But finally, after all those years of searching, traveling, and learning, Chase believes he may finally have discovered one final way to revive his lord. But there are those among the Death Eaters that do not wish for his return and Chase will see that they meet their end. The same goes for the Order and any others who would dare to defy his master. Chase will do anything and everything to bring about a final revival of Lord Voldemort.
Role-play Sample: See Kyle or Callid; finally made a third character, woo! lol
