History:
Harold Masters was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire into the prominent Masters family. For many generations the Masters family had maintained strong ties with the Ministry of Magic, and between the years of 1786 and 1798 Stephen Masters held the position of Minister for Magic. Harolds father, Isaac Masters himself was well known and respected throughout the Wizarding World, having served as an Auror for many years and later as Head of Departments for a significant term. This life of Luxury allowed Harold to see much of the world from a tender age and his father saw to it to begin his education early, taking every opportunity to teach him something of value. It became apparent very on that Harold was gifted with Intelligence for his age and soon set him apart from the rest of of the Wizarding world. Though his parents saw this as a good thing, other family members believed he was more 'different' then they realized, definitly not a Masters in the truest sense. At the age of Eleven he began his attendance at Hogwarts, sorted into the Slytherin House which sat him apart from his family, who'd traditionally been of Gryffindor. Young Harold found the adjustment to be difficult, as he was beyond the children of his own age, and those who he was more comfortable with usually bullied him and rarely took him seriously. His above average grades also made his situation even worse, Despite this he handled the situation well, usually shrugging it off as he focused on his school work. Some subjects he flatout disregarded and did poorly in due to a lack of interest, but those he enjoyed? He always enjoyed excellent marks. In time he began to earn the respect of his peers, as he engineered practical jokes of stunning complexity against rival houses and some Slytherins. By all regards, Harold was an odd boy, his sense of humor was twisted and inappropriate most of the time and even when he won the respect of his house mates, he preferred to be alone as he focused on his 'grand plans' as he liked to call them. Soon, Word around the school was that the boy was 'touched in the head' which might've been accurate.
As he grew older his nature became more aggressive, manipulative and at times violent. He also began to profess a desire to someday become an Auror as his father had been, whether this was true or not is unknown. What is known is that he was among the students that made up the early group that'd go on to become the Death Eaters. Harold at times was very vocal in opposition to allowing outsiders into their group, especially Ravenclaw Students Robert Lawson and Marcus Barclay but his opinion was ignored for the mostpart. By the age of 16 Harold was becoming a serious problem, physical clashes with fellow students and other improper behavior, He soon began pleading with his father to send him to the Durmstrang Institute, where he felt he could learn things that Hogwarts could never teach him, which was true. Reluctantlly, and to avoid anymore public embarrassments his father allowed him to transfer to Durmstrang at the end of his sixth year. The new setting suited Harold perfectly, And soon he began learning aspects of the Dark Arts that his fellow Slytherin students could only dream of. It was here that he also mastered the art of Legilimency and Occlumency which he considered rather 'simple' abilities. After graduating he dropped off the map and joined the Dark Lord Voldemort to serve him with all his being. But shortly afterwards, Voldemort fell and Harold was soon on the run with other Death Eaters, avoiding the wrath of Aurors and the Renegade Robert Lawson. Eventually he fled to Europe and attempted to find and raise his Lord again but he failed in his efforts. Eventually he realized he needed to return to the regular Wizarding world if he hoped to help the movement in any meaningful way. After years of being on the run and in hiding, he returned in 1990 with Sophie McAuliffe on his arm as his wife. Harold was able to convince not only the Wizarding Court, but his Father as well that he'd been blackmailed into service for Voldemort and thus got off scott free. Harold returned to a double life, enjoying a low level job in the Ministry of Magic while supporting the 'true' followers of Voldemort. In 1991 his wife gave birth to their first son, Alexander and six months later? His parents were killed in a 'tragic' accident and he inherited the Masters fortunate and thus he quit his job and moved his family into the Masters family Mansion. For the next five years he works in secrecy until 1995, Voldemort finally rises again. Harold himself was among those who helped engineer his resurection and was there for the event. A short time later, he also assists in making the breakout of some ten Death Eaters from Azkaban possible. Soon Masters begins to openly support Lord Voldemort and fight in his name until he falls once more, Masters goes on the run once more, leaving his family behind in safety.
In 2001 Masters was finally tracked down by Aurors Robert Lawson and Patrick Connor. In the course of events, Masters killed Connor and ended up dueling Lawson in a skillful Wand Battle which was fought to a near standstill, from this point Masters tried to escape via a broom but the chase was short given his poor flying skill and he crashed into the English Channel, Lawson confidant that his prey was dead left the scene. However Masters did survive the incident and slipped into hiding to engineer the greatest comeback the Wizarding World has ever seen. Currently his exact whereabouts are unknown.
