Name: Caitlyn Forrester Age & Birthday: 25 | May 20, 1983 Bloodline: Pureblood
Personality: Cunning, sly, rude, manipulative...this girl isn't one you want to cross paths with and get on her bad side. She's often got a smart mouth on her around those she has no business with unless she spots potential for a story in them. Then, she'll work the person in whichever way she sees best: flirting, sweet-talking, compliments.
She is willing to pull almost anything to get her way or her story, regardless of how legal it is. She'll look for loopholes in laws, use her tiny animagus form to go unnoticed while eavesdropping outside. She doesn't mind stretching the truth to fit her needs. Overall, she'd be a good allie for the Death Eaters to get, but she never was into that whole thing...ugly accessories, hoods that would mess up her hair, ya know. Yep, beneath it all, she's prissy.
Height: 5'8" Hair: Dark Brown Eyes: Dark Brown General Appearance: Caitlyn is tall for a woman, and she's not too fond of that fact. She towers over most anyone she can call a friend and because of that, she tends to hang around men more often than not. But, despite her height, she is a pretty girl. Her features aren't exactly subtle, but they are pretty, maybe somewhat exotic.
Her skin is bronzed from the sun, result of tanning whenever possible, though after one notices that, it would be most likely they notice her eyes, as she tends to go for the more dramatic/flirtatious look with her eye make-up, wearing eye liner and whatnot. Her nose is fairly straight, lips not full but about average.
Her clothing style ranges anywhere from the latest trend to somewhat retro. She doesn't care as long as it's cute and looks good on her.

History: Born to a middle class pureblood family, there wasn't much in her way of anything. It was weird for her, being about the same age as her neice growing up. Of course, her brother James had knocked some girl up at sixteen, resulting in the kid. So, things had been rather tense. The girl was raised practically as her sister, seeing as the mother had given her up, and Caitlyn's parents had managed to get custody (wanted to teach their son responsibility and taking the consequences of his actions).
But anyway, it felt like she was always somehow being in rivalry with her neice, seeing how grandparents tend to be towards their grandchildren. So, she became the stand-offish biddy she tends to be today. She was always pulling pranks of varying degrees of cruelty...from perfectly innocent to plain-out mean, but around her parents, she was nice as could be.
She went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin, her neice into Hufflepuff. Seeing as how she was given a hard time for being called 'Aunt' by someone her own age, she didn't get much nicer over the schoolyears, and it certainly didn't help that there was the house rivalry. Her neice, knowing it was the only way to get back at her aunt, insisted on calling her 'aunt' despite protest and threats.
She's cooled down quite a bit since her childhood years, but her and her neice still aren't on the best of terms.
Eight years prior she'd tried to get the job as the gossip columnist of the Daily Prophet, fresh out of school and feeling she had a lot to offer, but that Velda Harris was still around, and the girl was declined, only to be recalled a few months prior and handed the job, seeing as Velda had apparently been found in her home dead. Since then, Caitlyn has been working to her heart's desire on the gossip column, which she has renamed '_________.'
Role-play Sample: [As Rita Skeeter on FB, post 'Wandering During the Holidays']
Rita Skeeter, Daily Prophet reporter, made her way through the nearly empty halls of Hogwarts, hoping to find someone to interview, but when she saw no one, she decided to make her way to the Great Hall to see if perhaps the students were spending their time there.
She saw a few scattered here or there, playing wizard's chess and other games, but none of them looked interesting. None of them said to her 'I have a story behind me.' None of them intrigued her.
She decided to sit down and wait to see if an intriguing student would walk in. She didn't care what house, and wouldn't it be interesting if Jason Seams or James Potter came in after her latest article which had bashed their common love interest? But, she figured Jason probably had returned to his home for the holidays. His parents would have wished him to participate in some business meetings, she figured, so she didn't bank hope on that.
Potter, on the other hand...now, he could still be here, might still be here. Or perhaps that Black fellow...Sirius Black, wasn't it? was still here. She'd heard the Blacks had been having family problems on that side.
A smile pursed on her brilliant red lips as she sat down at the Gryffindor table since it was the nearest to her. She conjured herself some tea tray and tea set and set it out in an orderly fashion, hoping it would be inviting to any who she could interview.
