Name: Jason Scotts
Age: 17
Height: 6'0"
Eyes: Brown
Skin: Fair
Hair: Brown
Appearance: Jason Scotts usually has an amused smirk on his face or some sort of passive look. True smiles are rare. He usually goes for as dressed down as one can get when he's not in his school uniform and robes.
House: Gryffindor
Year: 7th
Wand: mahogany, 11" flexible, unicorn tail
Pet: Owl named Gremlin (don't ask subject to change. *is feeling very uncreative on that aspect atm)
Abilities: None
Personality: Jason is your average insecure teenage guy. To cover his insecurities as to who he is as a person, Jason often puts up a tough front, but if he gets to spending time, he often finds it difficult to keep up and just let's his defenses down and just acts himself, a fairly nice, somewhat egotistical boy.
He often closes up around older men, not wanting anyone to perhaps take the role of a father figure for him. He has had enough of his step father trying to step in and do that.
Skills: Herbology, Charms
History: Jason has attended Hogwarts all his school years, having much incentive to make himself do well academically (i.e. he'd have a size nine chasing after him, if he didn't.), which ultimately earned him the position of prefect when his fifth year came around. He does fairly well all around in whatever classes he takes, but he does best in Herbology and Charms, finding those the most interesting subjects in the school.
Anyway, back to the beginning. Jason was born to Jonathan and Jennifer Scotts, a happy newlywed couple who lived just outside the muggle village of Little Hangleton. He was hardly a year old when his brother Joshua was born and then only three when his sister Joan was born. However, things started to get complicated around that time, his parents always arguing, and overall stress level running high in the house. Jason had been quite terrified by all the yelling, hiding under his new 'big boy bed' whenever he'd hear it, screaming his head off for a few minutes, ultimately crying himself to sleep. It was only a matter of two months before his dad left home and Jason never saw him again. His mother was dejected and depressed for the next few months; Jason can't recall her ever smiling. Well, that was, until this new guy started coming into the picture when Jason was seven. He just couldn't understand who the hell this guy was and what he was doing there, trying to act like a dad to his brother, sister, and himself. It was annoying him, and this new guy, Joe Johnson, was restricting his play time, trying to make his mum make him help her around the house, overall starting to act like the father figure Jason hadn't had for four years of his life.
Things didn't get much better when Jason's half sister Jillian was born the next year, and it got worse after he left for Hogwarts, though the man did give incentive to do well academically. Teen years only proved there was no chance, which has his mum basically at her wit's end, not wanting to leave her new husband but wanting to console her oldest son.
Skip ahead a few years because it's getting late and I can't think straight.
In his sixth year when all the attacks begun to take place, Jason wasn't too sure what to think. He believed the attacks took place, but all the same, he didn't exactly believe that Voldemort was back, not even when Potter, two years his junior, came back with Cedric's body. He has no problem with Umbridge this year as far as not being allowed to mention Voldemort, though he would prefer to actually do something in DADA. He hates sitting there like a bump in the log. He's just glad Flitwick still lets them do things and McGonagall.
Anything else: His goal is to join the London Quidditch team after he graduates, preparing his application currently. He is muggle born, so he doesn't quite have that pressure to join the Ministry, though his parents would prefer if he'd pick a muggle sport.
