"Soon," Klaus said, though he did not fail to notice the ease with which her mood had changed. He wasn't stupid enough to think that that wasn't suspicious at all. No, it was highly suspect to him. The way he eyed her for a brief second was evidence of that thought, but he quickly forced himself to act natural. It would be perfectly normal for someone to eye someone that way, after all, so it wasn't too far off, if he'd given her the right impression of himself (rather, the one he wanted her to have), that he'd been fooled that quickly by her lack of suspicious little tells/quirks. "First, I need a little information about your buddy here." No, he couldn't stay long. He had to get her to their designated safe area soon. Her break wasn't of the sort that would require her to stay in the hospital longer than what she already had. Really, if she had been anyone else (aka, someone not brought in with handcuffs), the girl would have already been discharged.
"But first, I'm going to do us both a little favor and get your discharge paperwork going." Really, it was an excuse to step out and investigate what had changed her mood so quickly on his phone (though he really did intend to get the paperwork going so they could leave within the hour). It was surely not the photo he'd taken for his dating site profile picture. He looked good in it, but this woman wasn't some lascivious sex addict. No, there was something else. "So, you think about what you're willing to tell me about him, and I'll talk with that nurse and get you some proper clothes. Can't have you wandering out showing your bum to everyone, now, can I?" He gave her a wink as he opened the door, thankful they were far too far up in the hospital for her to even be able to feasibly try anything without leaving the room.

What was she willing to talk about... about Ced? Well the funny thing was, Lina actually didn't know many details about the big guy. If the dark haired man was looking to know his past or anything about his transformations, Lina really wasn't the chick to ask. What she knew of Ced was all that had happened between them, their interactions and how he acted. What he said. Who he was. But other than that? Yeah, Lina didn't have a clue. She was probably one of the worst people to question in the entire situation. So this idiot was tough out of luck on things.
So what would Lina talk about? She couldn't have too much harmful information, right? If she could somehow leverage seeing Ced, she'd give him some general information about the big guy that wouldn't hurt him. Maybe. The red head was protective of Ced. Considering everything they had gone through in the last couple of months it wasn't very surprising. So she sat there, trying to think over what was harmful and what wasn't harmful. She didn't know his age, barely knew anything about the supposed werewolf side, and well... a lot of other things. Lina did know he was Irish (she rather liked that accent), tall, good looking, rough around the edges, loyal, determined, and nicer than he looked at first glance. He could hold his liquor, took a bawdy joke well, and well... this was not a helpful train of thought, was it?
Instead, Lina sighed and sat back on the hospital bed, waiting for the muggle idiot to show back up. She still didn't know who he really was (besides his name being Klaus) and well, Lina felt like she didn't know nearly enough about anyone anymore. But she'd have to find out as much as she could and try to contact the Syndicate again the moment she got back around a phone (or an owl) to give them more information. And more importantly, she'd have to figure out where Ced was, as soon as possible. Hopefully that wouldn't be too much longer or she'd wind up murdering Klaus out of frustration.

"Welp," Klaus said as he re-entered the room and closed the door behind him. "That's all done. You're officially released into my custody. A nice little lady in scrubs will be coming in to fit you some crutches and wheel you down to my baby, and then I'll take you to your new home, sweet, home." He leaned against the wall next to the door and crossed his arms casually. He was briefly tempted to feel for that really soft spot of leather he knew was somewhere near where his hand was, but he supposed that wasn't necessary. He just didn't know what else to say to the girl or do at the moment. They were playing the waiting game that really wouldn't last all that long. There was no use pressing for conversation about wolf-boy right now. He'd already sent a text to Jones letting her know that the eagle was preparing to leave the building. So, what was left?
"What's your real name, by the way?" He obviously didn't give a crap about learning more than her first name, but he wanted something to call her besides "Jordan" and he hated standing in silence. It made him uncomfortable unless he was doing something like trying to outwait or outwit someone. In this case, he was doing neither. And learning a little bit about her even if it wasn't anything important and only what could be gleaned through small talk might be useful for when he spoke with wolf man. It would at least prove that she wasn't dead somewhere and that they really had her. Sort of. Ok, not really.

The idiot came back decently quick and Lina sort of shrugged at getting crutches and the like. That seemed stupid to her too. If she could get her hands on her wand, or better see her brother, than she'd be able to take care of this in a second. Or at least make it stop itching because that was becoming an issue rather quickly. She'd need to be on the move again soon enough but that was sort of... all her mind could handle right now. She had to find Ced first, then she'd need to be able to move. If she kept her leg broken for the moment... well, then she'd be able to trick them into thinking she couldn't move around. The red head would have to be careful about that, but she was good with stuff like that. She could manage this, right?
Those blue green eyes looked up at the dark haired man as he asked for her name once again. Her eyes narrowed slightly, trying to decide if she should tell him or not. If she did, then they could use her name around Ced to get a reaction out of him, but then at least he'd know that she was around. Maybe that would be for the best. "Lina. My name is Lina." It wasn't a terribly common name, but it wasn't rare either. It just wasn't English. Russian, Latin, Arabic... the name had a few different spellings and a lot of similar meanings, but it was common as long as you looked elsewhere in the world.
"I think it's only fair if you know my name, right Klaus?" He hadn't introduced himself and perhaps she was tipping her hand just a little bit, but the red head got a kick out of this. Maybe she'd unsettle him a little bit or maybe he would have figured she had done such a thing, but that was sort of that. Soon enough the lady came to help her. Even though Lina didn't care about modesty, the curtain was closed and Lina was changed into what looked like a set of clothing similar to what she had been wearing before, minus a lot of the blood that would have been on there. The shirt was the same, but this was a pair of sweatpants instead of jeans. Lose ones that could be rolled up gently over her cast. She thanked the lady and soon enough the red head was seated in a wheel chair in front of Klaus. "So where are we going exactly?" A new home sweet home suggested that they were going to keep her somewhere as leverage against Ced. If she hadn't been through everything she had been through recently, she would have panicked. Being held captive was the last thing she wanted right now, but she'd keep it together for Ced. Saving Ced was the first thing on her mind and it would be the only thing on her mind until he was free. She'd have plenty of time for a melt down in the future.

Lina. Rare name, but he'd heard it before. Once. In primary school. A lot better name for a girl than Jordan in his opinion. Whoever had picked the name she was put in the hospital under either wanted her gender ambiguous enough someone might walk past her room if just looking at names on charts while walking by looking for her or just was some new agey weird feminist type. Ok, perhaps "feminist" wasn't the right word because they didn't exactly want girls to be boys, just to be safe and equal. Klaus just didn't know what word he was looking for and didn't care to think on it any longer. Klaus didn't think anything of it at the moment Lina said his name and when he did as the nurse helped her dress, he realized he'd given her his phone and had been in the bathroom. Maybe when she made that call she'd looked through his texts or something.
Only a few minutes later, Lina was dressed and in a wheelchair and the curtain was drawn back. He opened the door for the nurse as she wheeled Lina toward it and then fell in step with the two. "Just your apartment, Jor," Klaus said in one of those lovingly sarcastic types of voices as he sent a text. They had someone posing as a valet to drive his car to the pick-up point so he didn't have to go get his car and leave her alone. Sure enough, Baby was appearing around the corner as they made their way through the automatic doors. He walked over to the "valet," gave him a tip and then walked over to open the passenger door for Lina.
"Sir?" the nurse said. "You might want to open the backseat. She needs to be able to put her leg up."
Klaus looked at the nurse a little funny for a moment then made an "Oh" face as he closed his passenger door and opened the rear passenger side door. He supposed that would hurt. At least if the time he tried to take his broken arm out of the sling when he was twelve and let his arm hang was any indication of the level of pain Lina would likely experience.
"You take care, honey," the nurse said to Lina after she had helped her into the car and handed Klaus the crutches right after closing the door. Klaus took a moment to set the crutches in his trunk. It was very difficult to resist looking the Impala over, but he had no choice. He couldn't linger here. He had to get her to the secure location they were going to be keeping her.
Klaus slid into the driver's seat, locked the doors, and started the car a bit later, casting a glance over his left shoulder at Lina before turning his head to look over his right shoulder and pulling out into the roadway.

Her apartment? Nothing this guy was saying was probably fact. She knew these government types. They liked like other people breathed and Lina could understand that. When you had things to hide, you learned how to lie and lie well. At least if your life depended on it. If you were a flippant idiot like this guy was, your lies were far too obvious and just downright annoying. Like she wasn't worth the effort to attempt to appease her. They didn't need to have her in a good mood. She was simply leverage over Ced.
Well weren't they in for a surprise? Lina was more like an employee to Ced than anything else, at least in her mind. They were sort of friends and he meant a whole lot more to her than she did to him. The red head wasn't going to be used as leverage, not properly. Which was a good thing because who knew what Ced knew. He was in the inner circle with the Syndicate, for all Lina knew. No, she'd bust him out and then she'd keep him underground until things cooled off. Or dragged him to another country so he wouldn't be caught again.
The car pulled up and Lina was shuffled into the backseat, propping her leg up correctly with some help from the nurse. She sat there for awhile in silence, her mind mulling over what was going on. Or at least trying to. She still had a good amount of pain killers in her system and those things always made it harder to think. "What do you want from him?" Those blue green eyes tried to watch Klaus' face in the rear view mirror. She doubted he'd really tell her but maybe she could sift some truth out from his lies this way.

Now that the nurse was gone, there was no need to keep up a facade, but there was also no need to antagonize this Lina girl either. He had one job at the moment and that was to get her to the compound where she could be held comfortably with anything she needed to heal and survive. If he could pick up something related to this werewolf, then that was an added bonus and really the only reason he was sent to pick her up from the hospital instead of Cole.
"Answers," Klaus said as he looked turned right out of the hospital parking lot. "They went into the middle of London for a reason. No creature like that would suddenly become public after years of silence without a reason or an agenda. The world knows they exist now, and that opens them up to a lot of persecution. Yet for all their presence, there seem very few casualties, and I have to assume those are from the regular wolves, the ones who don't have the same self-realization as whatever creature your little boyfriend is. It's my job to talk with him, despite the fact it goes against every instinct I've had to learn over the years, and find out what the reason or agenda was behind coming out. Whatever it was had to be important."
It was the truth, mostly. If he was quite honest, he was looking forward to the bit where the creature turned again. He just dared him to break out of the cell he'd help design so he'd have a reason to shoot him. There was truthfully no other reason behind that desire than he'd grown to hate them all equally over the years. It was the only way to make it through life doing what he had done each full moon for the past several years. You couldn't see the human, just the monster. To see the human would be a death sentence to more than just himself.

Lina knew a few details. She could have told the muggle a bit of what was going on, but she wasn't about to spill the beans unless she saw Ced. It was just as simple as that for the red head. And even then Ced might not like her spilling the beans, so it all became sort of a mess from there. Long story short, it was probably a good thing that the red head was good at keeping her lips sealed. It wasn't her call with what to share or not to share. So she remained silent while he spoke, sitting in the backseat and glaring at her cast.
If Lina knew the thoughts that were going through Klaus' head, she would have murdered him. She would have reached over the seats and attempted to strangle the dark haired man even if it meant crashing the car. While yelling in Russian. She would have blasted him with a killing curse. Mangled him. Torn him apart. Anyone wanting to hurt Cedric, let alone shoot him was not about to be on Lina's friendly list and they were going to put themselves right on track with her mother. Which was probably saying something serious because Lina didn't want to kill a lot of people.
"Where are you taking me?" The red head completely ignored the fishing he had done. She had been involved in the situation he was talking about, obviously, but she was acting like she had nothing to do with it. Easier for her that way. "Are you taking me to him?" Because if he wasn't, Lina was going to have some problems to voice.

Klaus glanced into the rear-view mirror and rose a brow. Though tempted to retort that he'd already told her, Klaus refrained. He could spout the address out instead and received the same response he imagined his retort would have gained him. Unfortunately, the only response that didn't end with the situation entirely out of control for him was to respond with the word, "Yes."
Jones would kill him. She would have his neck if she saw him bring her through headquarters. But he wasn't stupid. He knew how to avoid her figuring out precisely what was going on, where they were going. And she wouldn't technically be seen by her pet boyfriend. She'd see him, but he wouldn't see her. Observational one-way window was part of his little glass cage. Conspicuous enough the wolf himself couldn't notice it but everyone else could see him while safe from the sturdiness of the construction and materials. She could yell at the wolf or bang on the glass all she wanted, but even his wolfy senses were unlikely to help him. It was twice as thick as what was expected. They'd even been scientific about it. They'd tested it with animals displaying similarly sensitive hearing levels. If he heard anything, it'd be so faint, the wolf would just think he was losing it.
Klaus sighed as he focused his eyes back on the road. He had to drive around a bit, get her a little lost. Make a few turns where road set-ups were similar enough to mix up the details in her brain if she was the type who could be taken somewhere once and remember. And then, he'd have to make it impossible for her to remember the way they walked. That part was easy enough. The driving would be the harder part. Unless he had some miracle of the chick falling asleep. Somehow, he doubted that would happen. She was going to do whatever it took to see her wolf.

So perhaps the drugs were having an affect on the red head. She felt out of sorts for more than one reason and the pain killers were probably a large portion of that. Lina was trying to fight it all off, of course, but she was having trouble concentrating on anything but the idea of seeing Ced. Of making sure he really was okay and that the guy driving wasn't somehow lying about the situation.
She leaned back in the seat, getting comfortable where she could. Her grey eyes flicked along the buildings and the streets for a little bit, trying to pay attention to the details but it was hard. Lina had been seriously hurt with that fall. Her leg was broken, she was on medication, and she was tired. Tired down to her bones. She was going to be spending a lot of time sleeping for the first little while as her body started the healing process. Even if she had been healed with magic, a lot of sleep would have been happening.
So despite her best efforts, Lina started to fall asleep in the back. It wasn't exactly gradual once the process had started. The red head passed out hard, barely keeping herself up right thanks to the seat belt that had been buckled in place. If Klaus was going to take her anywhere and make sure she didn't remember it, now would be the time. Call it a combination of pain killers and the motion of the driving. It always knocked her out.

It took Klaus a few purposeful "wrong" turns to feel certain that Lina wasn't faking. He shrugged at it. A bit of a shame, but the drive was quick enough. Besides, it allowed him to make a quick text to HQ at a stop light.
Klaus was careful to make the turn into the parking garage slow enough not to wake his passenger so he could find a spot close to the elevator he needed and away from anything that gave away their location. Women and their landmarks didn't need to be the downfall of MI5 Paranormal if this one ever managed to escape back to her and wolf-boy's people. He could just imagine Lina's "villainness speech" to Jones revealing how she and her people found them and why they were all about to die. Or suffer. Or whatever. All because of puppy love (Pun intended, he thought with a smirk).
As soon as the Impala was in the closest spot to the lift (a few steps, really), Klaus turned it off and unbuckled his seat belt. He turned in his seat so he was facing his passenger. He contemplated gently pushing her arm or something, but he thought better of it. Just the vibe he got from this one. So, he settled instead for clearing his throat. "We're here," he said and waited for her to show any sign of being awake before continuing. "And before you contemplate escaping, the garage is on lock down and there are countless guards."

We're here. Lina snapped awake the moment someone started talking to her. She had fallen asleep in a way that only someone injured and medicated could manage and she felt entirely too groggy for her own good. The red head felt like snarling but managed to keep a lid on him while he was talking about escaping. It took her fogged mind a few moments to figure out what he was talking about when it all came back to her. Ced was captured by muggles. She had broken her leg. This guy was an idiot, but he was taking her to Ced. Right.
She blinked up at him owlishly, a surly scowl painted on her lips. Lina muttered some Russian and started to move towards getting out of the car as best she could. Normally she was a very graceful sort of lady, able to run and leap across buildings without batting an eye. She didn't trip or stumble, was sure about her body and herself with almost every step she could (when she was decently sober mind you). But there was none of that when trying to get out of the backseat of an old car with a cast from your toes to your thigh. A lot of cussing went into the process and Lina almost fell out a number of times. It wasn't the best moment in her life, but she got through it and was standing next to the car with crutches in hand.
Her blue-green eyes gave a careful sweep of the area, noting the various exits, cars, and things she could use. "Why would I run?" She grumbled at the idiot and waited for him to tell her where to go, obviously more than a little eager to get a move on. If she had known the kinds of things Klaus had been thinking, Lina would have beaned the dark haired man in the head with her crutches a few times. "Do you always warn captives of the defenses when you bring them in? Seems stupid." Better for him if she did try to run and got caught unaware of it, then being told what was there and trying to be prepared for it. If she was going to break Ced out of this situation, she'd know that the garage was locked down and that there were several guards around the place. The red head doubted it was countless, because that was just a silly supposed number, but she would bank on a lot just to be safe.

"We don't normally deal with keeping people," Klaus replied with a shrug. Didn't seem stupid to him. Girl wasn't an idiot and could figure out there would be some sort of safeguard around the place. Besides, how did she know where, how many, what weapons, etc., from his generalized statement. He was pointing out it was stupid to even try in her condition. "To the lift," he told her intending to follow closely behind so he could keep an eye on her. Never mind the fact getting in a small box with an angry redhead who just so happened to have crutches didn't sound so great.
However, she went into the lift and he pressed the button and up they went. The ding drew Klaus' attention from the text he had sent Jones. Bitch is in the building, it read. Not his cleverest pun, considering Lina was not a werewolf, but it worked. She was a "werewolf's" girlfriend. It was pretty much written in stone. Klaus glanced at Lina before he stepped in front of her. He needed to lead her this time. Hopefully Jones would be waiting in the observation room. Then again, hopefully she wasn't. He'd find out soon, he figured as he opened the door and held it for crutches.

*BZZT BZZT*
Jones and her gold eyed 'intern' glanced at the phone. Klaus, then, had returned from his expedition to the hospital. The department head pardoned herself and read the message. As expected, Klaus was efficient and flippant. There wasn't much that could be done about his poor attitude. In all technicality and on paperwork, Schmidt was a contractor hired for his expertise in werewolf hunting. Officially, he was a private investigator, but that still left Morgan with an agent who faced little to no accountability on his lack of professionalism. Jones sighed and typed a quick response.
Thanks for letting me know you've returned. I trust you also brought the woman? She looked back to the teen.
"So as I was saying, with the other witch here, you may want to keep yourself separate...that is, unless you think you may be able to assist...?" Her tone rose hopefully.
Orion shook his head and denied the muggle what she was hoping for.
"No. I didn't agree to this position to torture werewolves either physically or psychologically. I'll continue brewing the wolfsbane for the full moon, but it would be better for me to not be involved. If you need me, I'll be working in my...cubicle... The disdain in the word was heavy and icy, down in the R&D. I shall check my electronic mail later today and respond to the pertinent articles."
Jones watched the boy sweep up with his self importance and carry himself out of her office. He was a regal little shithead, but she needed him and what he could bring this department. She carried her own self, not quite as self importantly as the wizard, to the receiving elevator. Klaus and his guest would need special clearance through security and Jones wanted to see if the girl would be any more useful than the Burgess child.
Child was unfair, but he was spoiled and self-important. It was difficult to work with someone who looked down on you just because he knew where a bezoar laden monk's whatsit or whatever came from and you didn't. Hopefully this woman would be more of an adult and more cooperative than either of the two male wizards had been. With the business-like click of her short heels following her, Jones headed to the observation room. She entered it just before her agent and her target entered.
All it took was one look at the redhead's face for Jones to know she'd be just as difficult in her own way. Still, perhaps she'd be useful. Since it was unlikely for Klaus to make proper introductions, Jones extended a greeting first.
"Hello. I'm sorry that Klaus was our free agent to come pick you up today. My name is Morgan." She nodded to the plexiglass window. Outside of it was the room and the cell housing the werewolf. He was sitting at the moment, shoulders tense under the white cotton tee shirt. His pants were the simple blue cotton of government institutions. Flimsy slippers protected his feet from the cold floor. All in all, he hadn't been putting on weight the way the nutritionists had calculated he should have been. He wasn't losing weight quickly, but there was a definite loss of muscle tone since he'd first arrived. Jones knew that the girl would notice...lovers noticed that kind of thing always. Then the accusations would come of not feeding him, blah blah blah...Idly and without breaking visual contact on the girl she leafed through his file to the nutrition report...four meals a day of a thousand calories each should mean he was gaining weight...any normal person would be...
Jones slid out of her thoughts and back to the conversation.
"We've been keeping him here under observation since he tried to attack several of our personnel when he was brought in...if you have any questions please direct them to Klaus or myself and we can provide you with all of our documentation. Please don't bang the glass...you'll break your hand before he hears you. Now...we have some questions before our little tour continues..."
Jones gave the girl a thin smile seen commonly in governments, the mafia, and business meetings all around the world.

Lina didn't like the looks of any of this. This place looked far too... well put together. The more she saw of the place, the worse it looked. She had avoided government buildings because of things like this. It'd be easy enough to apparate out of, if she had her wand, but it wasn't easy to sneak out of, the Lina way. Too many cameras, too many people, too many stupid high tech alarms. Or it could just look that way and not actually have any security. She'd have to test the defenses while she was still considered weak with her broken leg before she could really know. It was all a matter of judging when to make her moves to get Ced out of here. And that was the bottom line. That was the goal. Getting the big guy out of here was the only important thing right now.
They were obviously waiting for someone and that someone turned out to be a woman who instantly made Lina smirk. I'm sorry that Klaus was our free agent to come pick you up today. Well, here was someone with a sense of humor. Even if Lina didn't like her on the basis that she might have been the one deciding to keep Ced where ever he was. But then her eyes were on Ced and only Ced. It was obvious that Lina was ignoring anything and everything that was being said, at least on at a first glance. Instead she was looking at Ced and seeing how thin he was. Merlin, he was thin. They really weren't feeding him enough. Maybe they were doing it on purpose. Of course they were doing it on purpose.
If the woman had been expecting proper answers out of Lina, she had really done the wrong thing. Instead she started muttering Russian, terrible things about of course he was attacking them, they were holding him prisoner and not feeding him right. She felt herself getting emotional and angry. Lina was protective of the people she cared about. She was protective of the people she respected. She was protective of Ced. Long story short, she was seeing red.
So Lina did the only thing that Lina could think of. The woman wasn't close enough to actually hit and she was obviously more in charge than Klaus was (obviously he was just a grunt), so Lina wanted to hurt her more than she wanted to hurt the idiot. The woman had stopped talking at this point, so Lina simply leaned back and swung a crutch up, trying to smack her right in her face with the thing. Of course, this didn't exactly work out well for the red head because she lost her balance mid-swing and instead fell to the ground roughly before her crutch could actually make contact. A wheezy grunt escaped her and she cussed in Russian loudly before managing to sit up in obvious anger. "I'm going to f*cking kill you." She managed that much in English before muttering things in Russian again. She was in pain, she was emotional, and she was still trying to work through the drugs in her system. She wasn't in her right mind and even if she was she'd still want to hurt them for what they were doing. Now her leg hurt, her head hurt, her arm hurt, and she hated these muggles. Things weren't going well, were they?
