BOGGART: Were she to be confronted by a boggart, Jones would see her partner mutilated the same as her parents had been.
MIRROR OF ERISED: Jones’ chief desire is to do a good job. She wants, no, deserves recognition for putting country first. To that end, her view in the Mirror would be her receiving a knighthood in recognition for her contributions to national security.

HABITS: Jones is a note taker, a music listener, a gum chewer, and a pacer. She thinks, a lot, and seems to need to be in motion to think successfully. Her nervous energy is reflected in an active lifestyle. She makes it a point to run daily, claiming that it clears her head.
PET PEEVE: Idiots are the thinking woman’s bane. Explaining yourself to a moron is one of the world’s worst conundrums. Working for one, however, is possibly even worse. Jones is ambitious and doesn’t like people who will stand in her way. A cold case is frustrating, as well.

STRENGTHS:
• Thinker: Jones is an investigator charged with the security of the nation. She is prudent and cautious, thinking through an investigation with tenacity that has earned her the nickname “bulldog” around the office. She is capable of drawing very elaborate mental maps, connecting dots that others may not have related to another.
• Crack shot: Jones has a steady hand and a deadly aim. She’s trained for self defense, for pleasure, and for her job. Her skill with firearms gives her a confidence in the field that only adds to her persistent nature in unraveling a case.
• Patient: Jones is a predator. She knows and appreciates the beauty of a stalk. Her preferred prey is the criminal set. Good things come to those who wait, in her philosophy, and she is a woman who wants only the best.
• Ambitious: No family plans at the age of thirty six has resulted from and resulted in Jones throwing herself into her career. At this point in her life, her focus has settled completely on advancing her division of MI:5 and getting recognized for taking names and kicking butt.
• Open Minded: Jones isn’t afraid of the unknown. She accepts that there are things in the world that science can’t (or won’t) explain. Her open mindedness originally got her recognized as someone to lead the secret splinter group of paranormal activity in MI:5 called ‘The Hounds.'

WEAKNESSES:
• Arrogant: Jones is used to being right. She’s built a career on being correct, and her confidence has taken a resulting spike beyond normal into arrogance. She’s the best paranormal investigator, and she knows it.
• Argumentative: If you disagree with Jones, be prepared to defend yourself against an onslaught of logic, because Jones doesn’t back down from an argument.
• Condescending/sarcastic: When your whole life is your career, you’re the best, and you hate idiots, it can get pretty hard to curb your tongue. It isn’t HER fault that she comes up with witty replies to stupid observations.
• Workaholic: First to work last to leave, Jones is dedicated to her career with the solid strength of someone with nothing else important to them.


TRAITS: Powerful things often come in small packages. Take, for example, dynamite, information, handguns, and Morgan Jones. This ambitious woman is tenacious and strong willed, personifying the hunting hound that is her unit mascot. She can be frigid when she’s ‘on the scent’ of a paranormal target. Her ice blooded huntress mentality intimidates and drives off most of her coworkers, peers, and suitors. She would never admit that her life is lonely, but she’d never have anyone close enough to her that she’d be willing to share that type of information with anyway. Her calm confidence overrides any insecurity that may arise from her cold life.
Outside of work Jones can cut loose, but still retains an edge to her personality. Her natural arrogance leads her to coming across as aloof or detached. Given an appropriate playing partner, however, and her natural proclivity to fun will bubble to the surface. During any exchanges with other people, she tries to keep her analytical mind busy to maintain a focus. She isn’t always successful in staying focused, especially if alcohol is involved. She recognizes this trait and tries not to drink much or often. When she does decide to just have fun, it is usually in the form of reading or running.

HISTORY:

Goring-by-Sea was a quiet town for the Jones family to raise their daughter Morgan. For sixteen years, things were quiet and normal according to Muggle standards. Morgan showed an aptitude and interest in criminal psychology. While at university, she met a nice gentleman named Adrian Roth. They dated for a while and were living together before graduation when tragedy struck the Jones family. Morgan’s parents were murdered during a failed robbery attempt. Morgan’s life took a dark turn for several years and she cut off her romantic relationship with Adrian. Her eager personality attained a patina of the cold detached persona that she would later wear as a detachment leader of the Hounds. Adrian understood her hurt and helped her through her depression, but wasn’t interested in rekindling their romance after her wounds had healed. To this day he remains her closest friend. She finished off her schooling and entered MI:5 as an analyst. She has since worked there steadily, earning promotions and recognition for her dedication to work. After bringing suspicious surveillance video to the attention of her supervisor, she was whisked into the secret world of paranormal investigations. As a new Hound, she was back to working the street beats, interviewing, investigating, and watching suspicious members of society. Like her previous career track, she managed to work her way up to her current head of detachment three of the Hounds.

ANYTHING ELSE? Fat frolicking unicorns….and, information on the Hounds.

The Hounds are the paranormal division investigators of MI:5, which is responsible for national security. Following the Death Eater takeover of wizarding Britain, contact has been cut off between the Ministries. To that end, the muggle minister created a secret branch of MI:5 to prepare for, investigate, and defend against the silent, underground threat of the wizarding world. While they have yet to actually apprehend a witch or wizard, the Hounds have eyes on many less discreet members of the wizarding world, and several suspected entry points into magical London. With the use of the street cameras, the Hounds are able to keep an eye on everything, and almost everyone, in London.
