Well, Gryffindor had had a good season so far...beat Hufflepuff in that game. Harry had done marvelously, but Jason Scotts figured he had a great deal to do with that victory. Hufflepuff chasers had been vicious, but Jason had managed to block quite a few throws. But, from many practices over the years, his padding he used in practice had finally broken down, so now he was demoting his former padding he used in games to be used at practice and was buying some new padding to use in games. It was over Christmas break, and his parents were buying the padding as part of his gift, seeing as they didn't want their son to get hurt, but Jason had insisted on going on his own, all his money from Christmas in tow. He was considering a new broom. Regardless of his parents' disapproval, he was going to join a professional team the next year.
So, he'd come earlier that day and had picked out some proper Keeper padding and was now looking at the brooms, especially the new Firebolt model. He was so absorbed in looking over the stats (padding piled at his feet) that he didn't hear the bell ring when someone opened the door...

She'd die for a new broom, but daddy's money had run dry. One of the downsides of leaving home. Her aunt Ashlee(whom she was staying with over Christmas break) had finally caved after some bugging and admitted her father had made her swear not to buy anything for her niece. Jamie was furious, knowing her father was dead determined to make her life a living nightmare until she was under his roof again.
She still got the usual money from her aunts and uncles like every Christmas year so she wasn't dead broke. She had enough money for a broom kit and maybe some new padding..her year old one was getting a little scratchy and unshiny... A Slytherin Seeker had to have the best!
The familiar jingle of a bell sounded as she walked into the shop, easily making her way to the padding and kits. She took a while figuring whether to grab a black or green one, settling for black in the end then easily picked a kit with a green flower on it. She glanced toward the brooms and walked over, looking at them longingly, barely noticing the boy beside her.

Jason didn't even notice when she walked up beside her. Sure, there was a blur to his right in which there was a bunch of black near the top and Merlin knows what color the rest of the body was. He wasn't paying much attention. This broom was a beaut. He could care less about anyone else at the moment, but he was beginning to feel a little sore from bending over for so long, so he kind of leaned over and stretched forward a bit and then stretched his arms as one flexing his muscles (though it was clear he wasn't trying to do that), his elbow inadvertantly making contact with Jamie's nose. Feeling it, he turned, wanting to make sure he hadn't knocked anything off the shelf when he realized it was a girl his age? that he'd done that too.
He made an 'Oops!' sort of face. The babe was hot. Who could blame him for actually feeling sorry for hitting someone in the nose for once in his life? "Um...sorry, mate."

Jamie glanced over to see a elbow moving quickly toward her face. She gave a scream when it hit her, falling over with a thud. She clutched her nose and made a face of pain as she glared up at the boy. Wow...he was cute. She kicked out at his leg, hoping to make him fall over before she began to scramble up, hand still clutching her scarlett nose. It didn't feel broken, but it still hurt.

Jason, seeing as he was already looking down, noticed her leg kick out, managing to jump over it before she knocked him down, watching her scramble up. "Whoa, easy there...it was an accident after all...um...?" he said, not knowing her name and feeling very awkward. Gaw! "Name's Jason, but you can call me Jase."

Jamie glared hotly at him, eyes narrowing viciously. "I don't give a shite if your name is Merlin!" She took out her wand and murmured episky, expecting it to do something. Oh, right...it wasn't broken. She summoned a hankee and began to dap the blood tenderly.

Jason rose a brow. "Well, I'm at least glad it isn't Merlin. Would be one more bad memory of my father. Git already gave me a horrid life with a stepfather, didn't need to leave me with a name that could be teased." He let out a sigh, bringing his hand to his pocket, pulling out his wand. "Here, let me help you with that," he said, pointing it at her nose and using 'Episky.' After all, it was a minor wound. It would handle it. Then, he used a siphoning spell to get the blood off her pretty face. "Regardless of whether you care what my name is, I'd like to know yours."

Hazel eyes rolled in their sockets when he cast the spell, nose feeling better though she didn't want to admit it. She wiped her bloodied hands on the hankee, making a mental note to get to a bathroom as soon as possible and give her hands a thorough washing. She vaguely listened to him go on, glancing toward the counter then to the door, gaze dragged back to him. Though she didn't feel she owed him her name she curtly responded. "Jamie Seams. No nicknames. I'm not Jay. I'm Jamie."

"Sure thing,...Jay," he responded just because he could. This one was cute but boy was she sure easily riled up?! Just over being hit accidentally in the nose, and she didn't get any better after he helped her. Oh well...doubted he'd ever see her again, really. "Will a butterbeer perhaps help let me see a pretty smile on your face?" he offered, a bit curious to figure out this girl. "I know Slytherins" --that, he'd assumed by her attitude-- "usually don't hang with Gryffindors, but hey...what the hell? I'm not your average Gryffindor."

"I think we established that," she hissed sharply in reply, glaring up at him to show she did not in the least bit appreciate his little jest. So he was a Gryffindor. Good. That gave her the right to do this. Her hand flew out, palm up in hopes of hitting his nose - hard. That's my response, you little worm! Perhaps little wasn't the best word, but to her, he was as 'wormy' as they got.

Jason attempted to duck out of the way by the time he realized what she was about to do, but by then it was much too late, unfortunately, hand going to his nose as he tenderly felt it with his fingertips to make sure nothing was broken, knowing it was bleeding slightly and pulling out a hankie. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" he exclaimed.

"You're what's wrong with me!" she hissed in response, a smug smirk claiming her lips as she watched him. That felt good. She hadn't hit anyone in a while now. Now she could start calming down...or at least that's what others would say. But this was Jamie, she never did as others expected. She turned around after taking in a short little breath and picked up the stuff she had dropped, walking up to the counter and beginning to pay.

Jason simply stared at her with a raised brow. Crazy broad. Needed help if she thought he was her problem. Nope, something else was bugging her. Sure, he was charming and everything, so desirable and cute...someone any girl would want (yes, he was pretty prideful), but all the same, surely he wasn't in her blood quite yet. He smirked as he checked out the view when she turned and stood there and bent down to pick up her things, following her to the counter after grabbing his stuff. He was her obedient little puppy for life now. (( ))

Jamie handed over the galleon and glanced over to her right, rolling her eyes in annoyance when she saw him. She took her bag and turned around again, walking out the door of the shop and down the street quickly. If he followed her now she'd lead him to an alley and take it from there.

Jason quickly paid for his things, words rushing the poor salesclerk to hurry up the process. He tossed the money on the counter, saying, Keep the change! before grabbing his bag of stuff and walking out the store, quickening his pace casually and slowing when he caught up with her, hands in pockets, bag resting around his forearm as he walked, looking straight ahead. "Long time, no see, pretty face."
