Hermione just watched the water going back and forth from a hill where she stood. This was one of her favorite spots to be. Besides the library, of course. It was so calm and relaxing. She made her way down the hill to a tree near the water. She liked the sound it made, as odd as that may sound. After a moment of watching it she sat down opening the book that she had been holding. Hermione must have read this book a thousand times but there was almost no book in the library that she hadn't read. She let out a deep sigh and leaned back against the tree."This feels nice," she said quietly to herself as she looked down to her book.

Jamie sped past her quickly on her firebolt only inches from her face and made a dive, catching the snitch she was after. She made a quick landing and brushed off her protective gear and her Slytherin Quidditch cape. She stuck the snitch in her pocket and grinned, walking over to Hermione and stopping, lenaing agains a tree only a few inches away from her's. "You sure you were meant to be in Gryffindor?"

Hermione didn't even flinch as the girl had passed so close to her face. That would be just another thing she'd be teased of. But now thinking about it she'd been so used to it. She closed her eyes. This was something she didn't want and or need right now. Maybe she should change her favorite spot. She closed her book and stood up to see the girl properly. Hermione didn't even understand the point of her question. No matter what other house Hermione had been put in she'd be mocked. "I was chosen." After she had said this she realized how stupid of an answer it was. Gryffindor was the only house she would have chosen to be in. "Would you like to tell me why you think I've been put into the wrong house?"

"Because no Gryffindor should have their nose buried in a book - we have Ravenclaws for that. You Gryffindors are suppose to be the fun ones." Jamie said throwing her broom from one hand to the other then setting it down and taking off her protective gear and Slytherin Quidditch cape.

"I don't see how, in any way, this affects you," Hermione said as she crossed her arms over her chest. Slytherins never spent any time with Gryffindors anyways. Not that Hermione had seen, at least. So why should this girl care? None of the Slytherins liked Hermione. Unless they were too shy to say anything. But Slytherin and shy didn't go together.

"I would just hate to have to see the Gryffindors fall under the wrath of a braniac and over cautious prefect." Jamie said innocently and jumped as she felt something furry and warm around her ankles, she looked down to see Freemont and rolled her eyes. "Bloody cat. You scared me half to death! Popping out of nowhere!" Jamie adverted her hazel eyes back to hermione and waited for her comeback, she was just tryng to get her to unleash her fun side or mad side, either would be fine.

Hermione eyed her. Jamie shouldn't have to worry about Hermione's own house falling under any prefect wrath. It was wrong to play favorites and Hermione knew that. It was just hard to not favor her own house. Yes, they would get yelled at but not as often as the other houses. There were little tiny things she would allow. She would most definitely be seen as the worst person in Gryffindor if she was caught taking points from her own house. When Hermione went to speak she stopped herself as Jamie had jumped. After looking at Freemont she now wondered where Crookshanks had gotten off to. "I'd think you'd be pleased to see Gryffindor in any sort of trouble."

"Oh yes, I'd just love to see my boyfriend and his house stuck in detention for the rest of the year!" Jamie said sarcastically. "Where's the fun in that?"

Hermione let out a sigh and leaned against the tree again. Putting her boyfriend, whoever it was, in detention for a long time was appealing right now. And Hermione was smart enough to make up a believable excuse for it. It seemed to Hermione that the girl was going back and forth with things. "Then please explain to me what the fun is."

"Terrorizing Umbridge for the whole year. I need my connections in Gryffindor for that. Detention ought to be fun if it's spent with her, throwing mashed potatoes at her was just the first thing." Jamie grinned and flicked her hair over her shoulder.

Hermione rolled her eyes. This was ridiculous. What would they gain in terrorizing a professor? "I think i'd prefer to not throw food at a teacher." It would not look good for a Prefect to be doing such things. Professor McGonagall would be very disappointed and probably more angry at her. This was something that Ron would do.

"Oh, I wasn't asking you. I was asking you to try and keep to terrorizing the other houses, not Gryffindor. But we could always use another hand, trust me, there is nothing good about that Umbridge woman and we need to set her in her place." Jamie crossed her arms and looked at her.

Hermione knew that Umbridge was not a good woman and not to be trusted but Hermione did not want to be seen cooperating with a Slytherin. Afterall the girl could be lying about almost everything she said. But Hermione wasn't about to terrorize other houses for no reason, as much as she'd like to. She wasn't going to agree to this but that didn't mean that she wasn't curious. "And who exactly is 'we'?"

"I'm not giving names to a prefect. But all of us that want to show Umbridge Dumbledore rules here and not the Ministry are we." Jamie said flatly.

There was no way that a Slytherin was saying these things. Hermione thought that she must be hallucinating. Either that or she wasn't the only one paying attention to the Sorting Hat's new song. Hermione wasn't a tattle-tail unless it was worth it. "I don't believe that I'd say anything to anyone on who 'we' is," she said.
