Hermione eyed the little pack of Drooble's Best Blowing Gum. She wasn't one for chewing gum. ( unless it was the sugerless gum which she ate at home. ) Honestly? She wasn't really wanting sweets right now. It was just nice to get away from Hogwarts. She crinkled her nose at the blood flavored lollipops. Who, besides vampires, would want those? She didn't know how long she'd be in here. But maybe she'd change her mind on buying something.

Ginny was wandering through Hogsmeade when she thought she saw an odd sight: Hermione going into Honeydukes. Now, normally she wouldn't have paid any mind, just assumed her friend did indeed have a sweet tooth, after all, but today she was bored, so she decided to go see how Hermione was. She hadn't really seen her that often between her own classes and Hermione's studying for OWLs and prefect duties. So, what better time to catch up than on a Hogsmeade visit when there were no books around to distract the prefect?
She walked up behind her, laughing lightly at Hermione's facial expression when she saw the blood-flavored lollipops. She didn't understand why they made those either, but vampires probably liked them, and whatever kept them happy and away from sucking human blood for a while was fine with her. She walked up to her with a smile. "Hey there, having fun?"

Hermione flinched. She didn't like it when people popped up out of nowhere. "Ginny!" She sighed. At least it was only Ginny and not some horrid Slytherin student. "I am having fun, thank you." It had been quite busy around Hogwarts and she just needed to get away. She had a perfect reason for why she wanted to relax. OWLs were a horrid thing to study for and being a Prefect wasn't as easy as it sounded. Honeydukes wasn't exactly a place to rest but it wasn't hectic in here like at Hogwarts or in another shop. "What brought you out here?" she stopped. Maybe Ginny was also trying to get away as well.

Ginny noticed Hermione flinch when she called out to her. She figured she must not have expected it, must not have noticed her coming up to her. "I just felt the need to get away from the school...pretty boring around there with most of you busy studying seemingly all day...and then Umbridge being around, adding stress." She let out a sigh, picking up a licorice wand. Perhaps she'd buy it. She'd not spent any of her money for the past few months, and one little item once in a while was fine. "I'd imagine you, Harry, and my brother must be having an even more difficult time, though, between OWLs and all..."
"Harry hasn't been in one of his moods again, has he?" she asked suddenly. She knew that Hermione and Ron seemed not to know quite how to calm Harry down, so she often had been the one to help out in those times.

Hermione actually felt the need to get away from Hogwarts. Only sometimes, though. She frowned. Studying wasn't boring, not if you did it right. Then again, most people didn't and Hermione wasn't about to spend her time correcting them. Unless it was Harry or Ron which then there was an exception. "Yes, it is difficult." Mostly because Harry and Ron had low attention spans. If an owl flew past the window, they would probably just watch it. She looked to the shelf of candy again before hesitating. "Well, actually, I haven't seen Harry much," she said with a sigh.

Ginny noticed Hermione's frown and held back a question of 'What?' but she did wonder what it was that she'd said that had apparently upset her a bit. "Hmm...I don't know whether to think that good or bad," Ginny mused. "It could be good if he's studying, but somehow the idea of him studying so frequently seems rather highly unlikely."
