Evie walked up the rest of the way to the Gryffindor common with Ginny and her brothers. It was past 11 and well past the first years curfew. Evie did a quick check to make sure they were all where they were susposed to be and came back into the circular common room and sat on a couch infront of the fire.
"I'm sorry about not letting you guys in on it..It was very spur of the moment,"
she said looking at Fred and George

Ginny sat down on the couch. "It seems you have a lot to teach your 'partner-in-crime' about keeping suspicion off him, though, but it certainly was jolly good. Had me wondering who was behind it, but Serena's too smart...she figured it out."

Evie grinned bringing her leg up and tucking it under her other. "He did alright for a first timer, and Serena would have figured it out in the end, she always does."

Ginny laughed. "That's true. She uses logic way too much...She's got to figure things out, but that's a good thing."

"We were lucky that McGonngall covered for us....Don't know exactly why she did, but I'm not complaining," Evie said as she leaned back against the couch headrest.

Ginny nodded. "It certainly was close, but at least she did...was her sarcasm at that Umbridge or at my brothers?" she wondered aloud.

Evie shrugged pulling a throw pillow out from behind her and setting it on her lap. "A bit of both if you ask me, Fred and George haven't exactly been a picnic to deal with, but McGonngall doesnt seem to be very found of the new professor."

Ginny laughed and glanced at her brothers. "Certainly not a picnic, but if they were, they wouldn't be Fred and George." She sighed

"So true, and I'd be lost without them, or worse...Like my mother." Evie shuddered as a chil went up her spine just from the thought

Ginny shuddered with her. She didn't know what to say though because saying 'that would be a nightmare' could be an insult, and she didn't want that to be taken that way... "Well, then it's good you met them."

Evie nodded. "Fred and George are my best mates, Gin your like my sister and the one that keeps me sane around them Your mum, dad, Charle, Bill, and dare I say it...Percy are like my family. I wouldnt know what to do without all of you."

Ginny kind of made a face at the mention of Percy but didn't comment on that. "I definitely wouldn't be sane if I had to spend all summer void of any other female presence besides mum. At least Alex comes over from time to time and then you do. You're like a sister, too."

Fred and George had been quite for the conversation but laughed at Evie and Ginnys coments. Fred sat on the arm rest of the couch and George plopped down on the coushin and they both placed there hands over their hearts
"Oy George, I think I'm going to cry"
"Right you are Fred, its so touching.." George said wiping a fake tear away from his eye Evie took her pillow and threw it at him
"Gits."

Ginny rolled her eyes. "Oh, they're only jealous," she teased.

"Right, jealous of the two pansies," George said, laughing as he caught the pillow Evie threw at him.
